French Bulldog English Bulldog Mix

Temperament

The temperament of a Frenchie English bulldog mix is typically very friendly, playful, and loving. They love to greet new people and play with other dogs; they are also not aggressive. These traits make them ideal pets for families with children and people who want a dog that can get along with other animals.
Being very friendly, these dogs are not protective at all; they will be your best friend if strangers come around but won’t do anything to protect you. This makes them subpar guard dogs but great pets in general because they love getting attention from anyone! With the proper training, though, this mix can learn to follow commands and even work as a guard dog.

Lifespan

The lifespan of this breed will be about 15 years, which is not too long, considering the average life span is 12-14 years.

Appearance

These dogs look very similar to an English Bulldog and a French Bulldog; it’s difficult to tell the difference in most cases, especially when they are adult dogs. For example, the head is large like that of an English bulldog but smaller than that of a French bulldog; also, their body has some similarities to both breeds. They are usually black with white markings though you can find other colors such as brown and white. Many people often say these dogs look just like miniature pigs! If you’re interested in buying or adopting one, make sure your home is big enough for them because they are very heavy.

Shedding

Both the French Bulldog and the English Bulldog are average shedders and should be brushed around once a week to minimize the amount of fur that gets on your house. They’re not considered hypoallergenic.

Training

A French Bulldog English Bulldog Mix is easy to train because they are so bright! All you need is one or two sessions with them, and then you will quickly get them to follow commands. However, it’s not advisable to start training when they’re very young; wait until they’re about 5 months old because their minds won’t fully develop until then.

Are they good family dogs?

Like French and English bulldogs, they are great for families with kids because they are not aggressive. However, you must take care when your kids are playing around with the dog because these dogs don’t have so much strength that they might get injured in some cases. They can also provide entertainment and love within a household and are great apartment dogs.

Are they good with cats?

If you own a French English bulldog mix, you must slowly introduce him to your cat. The dog will want to play with the cat, and your cat might feel attacked. Also, some of them do not like playing around with cats, so you must ensure your dog is one of those before letting them get together.
Since these dogs love to jump on people and their beds, make sure they don’t interact with your cats when they are sleeping; because the cat wakes up, it might act defensively by clawing or biting the dog, which could hurt it seriously.
